The Minute 16 camera was manufactured in 1949 by the Universal Camera Corp. of New York, NY, USA. It uses 16mm perforated film in re-loadable cartridges (film which can still be found today).
This small metal camera looks like a movie camera and has a foldable frame finder at the top. It is made with a meniscus lens that is set deep in an aluminium lens barrel, and has an aperture selector lever marked f6.3 - 11 - 16 next to it. The lever on the right-hand side is what winds the camera, The push button at the top is the release button. A manually reset frame-counter is just below the lever. A 1/60sec. single-speed semi-cylinder guillotine shutter is placed behind the lens.
The camera has a tripod-socket on the bottom of the camera, which is also used as a flash sync-contact - pretty unique.
